DHCP-Server
Ein DHCP-Server (Version 3) läuft auf unserem paedml-Server. Er verteilt u.a. die Bootinformationen für alle LTSP-Clients.
LTSP-Clients und DHCP
Die LtspClients booten mittels PXE über das Netz. Hierzu sind in der /etc/dhcp3/dhcpd.conf bestimmte Einstellungen nötig, u.a. die
- vendor encapsulated options

Diese können entweder als Folge von Hexadezimalzahlen konstruiert werden, oder mit Hilfe eines namespaces. Das ist z.B. hier beschrieben:

dhcpd.confeingeführt, seine Verwendung ist noch experimentell.
